Brisbane based Luya Music is a collective of professional musicians with extensive performance experience both nationally and internationally. We perform in Brisbane, Gold Coast ,Ipswich, Sunshine Coast and the surrounding areas.

We not only perform Classical music, but Pop / Contemporary songs, Jazz, Blues, Irish and Gyspy to name but a few genres. As all members of Luya are proficient musicians we can arrange any song you may desire for your special occasion.

Planning your wedding is a big task. Your wedding day is the most special day in your life. With this is mind, Wedding music is a very important factor to consider when planning your wedding. Music sets the general mood and tone for your ceremony or reception, while also allowing you to express your feelings through your choice of wedding music.
You can choose your own music or we can help you with those tough decisions. With over 20 years experience in the wedding industry we can help tailor the music to suit your every need. Luya's Music Director will liaise with you personally to discuss your musical needs for your very special day.

The Ceremony
There are five main sections in a Wedding ceremony where music is usually performed. Commonly a wedding ceremony will be a 1.5 - 2 hour booking.

Baby Christening/Naming Ceremonies
Music is an appropriate accompaniment to a Christening or Baby Naming Ceremony. We provide beautiful background music to a very special day for your family and friends. Favourite lullabies or family traditionals can be performed for the enjoyment of all.
Special Birthdays
What would a birthday be without music!! We can cater to any age and any birthday event! We specialize in performing the favorite songs of the celebrated guest, be it Jazz standards of the 1920's to more contemporary love ballads. Advance notice is preferred to allow time for arranging the music to ensure a perfect occasion for all.
Ruth Ross-Pe'er
Luya Music Director
Violin and Viola
As the Director Of Luya Music, Ruth Ross-Pe'er has over 20 years experience as a performance musician and teacher. Ruth has been performing publicly since the tender age of 12. Her first "Royal" performance was as lead violinist in a string quartet at the "ER Duke Testimonial Dinner", during his Australian visit. Ruth has performed and worked musically all over the world performing in various Ensembles, Bands and Chamber groups and has held tutoring residences in both England and Canada.
Currently Ruth is Head Instrumental Tutor at a Brisbane private school and regular performer on the Brisbane music scene. With her vast experience in the music industry and her passion for creating your perfect event, you are guaranteed to have all your professional music needs met!
Our Musicians
Carly Flynn
Violin, Viola and Piano
Carly Flynn is a skilled and experienced musician who works regularly in both performing and teaching capacities. As a pianist and violinist, Carly has had the pleasure of playing music for numerous weddings and private functions. Carly has also had the opportunity to perform in Europe and Asia as a member of vocal ensembles including the Sola Voce Chamber Choir.
Carly has completed Bachelor degrees in Music (Hons.) and Education from the University of Queensland . She runs a small teaching business on the south of Brisbane offering lessons in violin, piano, and theory/musicianship. Carly is passionate about sharing music through many mediums and, as a member of Luya Music's ensemble, will ensure the music for your event is of the highest quality.
Isabella Ambrose
Cello
A graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium, Isabella is a cello player and teacher, specialising in chamber music and early childhood education. She
graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Hons., Performance)from the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University in 2014. Isabella performs regularly in chamber music events, weddings and functions across Brisbane.
Aaron Damianopoulos
Guitar
Aaron is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, with over 18 years of experience performing live. He has worked regularly with both international and national atists.
As well as performing, Aaorn also teaches guitar, bass guitar, drums and piano at several private schools across Bribsnae.
Aaron has a great passion for all things musical and loves being a part of Luya Music.
